Giro d’Italia – The Race for Pink promotion

The 2,243-mile Giro d’Italia (Tour of Italy) runs from May 5 – May 28. To celebrate the 100th edition of the “Race for Pink,” each day throughout the race we will be offering a discount on our La Primavera rosé. The La Primavera is pink and the cyclists are racing for the special pink jersey worn by the leader of the race each day!

The promotion starts with a discount of $1 off per bottle of rosé. For each day that the leader holds the pink jersey, the discount will increase by $1, up to a maximum of $5/bottle. If the lead is taken by another rider, then the discount will reset to $1.

You don’t have to pedal for hundreds of miles to win, you just have to track the race and drink the wine. We will update you each day in the tasting room and on social media as to the discount for the day!

The Giro d’Italia is a 3-week bicycle stage race held around Italy and sometimes neighboring countries. It encompasses flat terrain, rolling hills, and the high mountains of the Alps and Dolomites. The peloton of 189 riders on 21 teams races an average of 100 miles each day, with 3 rest days sprinkled in (on these days they will still ride around 40 miles just to keep their legs moving). Yes, this is a mind-boggling athletic feat! That’s why you have to be on one of the top professional cycling teams in the world to even be invited to compete. There are only 2 other “grand tours” on a similar scale held each year: the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espana.

You can follow the race online!
