Eleven Winery Kicks-Off 2020 with Three Silver Medals

Bainbridge Island, WA., March 5, 2020 — Eleven Winery’s (Eleven) winemaker, Matt Albee, is awarded three(3) silver medals in the 2020 SavorNW Wine Competition. Eleven’s winners include; the 2017 Malbec, 2018 Ratio:Rosso, and the 2018 Viognier. These are the first medals Albee has received for the 2020 wine competition season.

“The SavorNW Wine Awards are designed to showcase Northwest wines and promote awareness of Pacific Northwest wine regions. All wines are evaluated in a single-blind judging by some of the top wine professionals in the Northwest including wine writers, buyers, and experts.” – Gary Hayes, Executive Director of SavorNW.

Eleven Winery’s 2017 Malbec is full of rich and vibrant notes of black fruits. This varietal is sourced from Sugarloaf Vineyard in Yakima Valley. Albee produced only 248 cases of this vintage and retail at $41.00 per bottle. The 2018 Ratio:Rosso is Eleven’s flagship red-blend. Comprised of Syrah (55%), Mourvèdre (33%), Lemberger (11%), and Viognier (1%), the Ratio:Rosso is a smooth/medium-bodied every day red wine. Albee produced 425 cases of this vintage and it retails at $22 per bottle. The 2018 Viognier is a powerful and fragrant offbeat white wine varietal that is sourced from Sugarloaf Vineyard in Yakima Valley. For Washington Winemaker Matt Albee, Viognier is a signature white varietal. Albee produced only 188 cases of this particular vintage and retails for $26.00 per bottle.

The three silver medalists are available in both tasting room locations and on their website. Eleven Winery is now offering curbside pick-ups at their Winslow Way tasting room location. The wine can be purchased online and picked up later at the Winslow tasting room location.

About Eleven Winery

At Eleven Winery, we’re all about making great wine, and making it fun! We believe the better the wine, the more fun you’ll have, whether you’re new to wine or an expert. And while we’re at it, we figure we’ll make the world a better place, too, by working sustainably and donating a portion of our profits to charity. We produce a variety of red, white and dessert wines, about 4,000 cases altogether, with a focus on Mourvèdre and Viognier. Our wines are made from grapes that are grown in eastern Washington, brought back to Bainbridge Island and made into wine there. We are one of seven wineries on the island, founded in 2003. We have a tasting room on Bainbridge Island at 287 Winslow Way East that is open 12-8pm 7 days. The winery location at 7671 NE Day Road is open for tours and tasting Thursday – Sunday 11am-5pm throughout the year, with live music every Saturday. More information at www.elevenwinery.com.
