Join us for a Ukrainian food pop-up to raise funds for the network of volunteers in Mykolaiv, Ukraine. The event is organized by Lena Levin, a resident of Bainbridge Island, with close family ties to Ukraine. She grew up in Mykolaiv, a city under ongoing onslaught by Russian forces. When the war broke out, she started a fundraiser to support volunteers in Mykolaiv who are risking their lives to provide basic supplies to people in need.
Lena will serve traditional Ukrainian comfort food, varenyky (also known as pierogi or dumplings). They are loved by young and old and come in a variety of flavors to be enjoyed as a main dish, snack or dessert. All profits will be donated to the Mykolaiv Volunteer Group.
